About The Font

The Miami Vice font is an Art Deco style font that became popular after the Miami Vice TV series’s release in 1983.

The Miami Vice TV series logo uses the same font, Broadway Regular, on the top line and Broadway Stencil on the bottom. Before the font became popular, Morris Fuller Benton planned and designed the font in 1927. He created it for ATF (American Type Founders)

The Broadway font family includes more than 20 styles and four different weights. It is now part of the International Typeface Corporation (ITC). The inspiration behind the font is that it looks classical and professional, but at the same time, it has a modern twist.

People search for the Miami Vice font for more than the actual font name, “Broadway.” Miami Vice font is a fancy font. In addition, it’s just a capital letter font based on the logo design. Curly lines and bright colors characterized the retro design.

Note: There is another font in the same name called the “Miami Heat Font” – a logo inspired by Miami Vice and created by Nike for NBA City Edition jerseys.
