The idea behind Cubao Free
On the official Cubao Free page, Amar dedicates the family to Filipino sign makers, jeepney drivers, and daily commuters. The sturdy capitals, stencil-like cuts, rounded corners, and three widths echo lettering designed to stay readable on a moving vehicle, often in bright colors against a dark background.

All three exact font files carry the full SIL Open Font License 1.1 text in their metadata, and Amar’s official page permits personal and commercial use.
