Readex Pro Font is the world script expansion to the font Lexend created by Thomas Jockin, and Nadine Chhine. Readex currently supports Latin as well as Arabic. Lexend is a variable font created by Bonnie Shaver-Troup, and Thomas Jockin and published in 2018. Study results have shown that reading fluency can be improved by applying the Shaver–Troup Individually Optical Text Formation Factors.
This font is inspired by Andrew Paglinawan’s Quicksand project. It was started in 2008 and has been updated since then. Thomas Jockin of Google Fonts improved Quicksand in 2016. Thomas modified Quicksand in order to improve fluency reading for low-proficiency readers (including people with dyslexia).
