Alef is an open-source multiscript sans-serif webfont that can be used in Latin and Hebrew. Alef was created in the screen. It was designed to the pixel to expand the range of Hebrew fonts that are available for web design, and to challenge Arial as the default. The font’s numerals are old-style proportional. To suit Hebrew and English languages, a series of numbers that ascend and descend the x-height.
Hagilda.com offers italic styles and a Black weight. A pro version is also available with more advanced printing features. These extra styles can be purchased separately as they are licensed in a different manner. It was designed with digital media in mind and solves many problems such as the rendering of small characters and cross-platform adjustment.
