Easy Speech is Jean-Jacques “Xoth” Morello’s loose handwritten display face. The letters lean and change width like quick marker writing, so the family feels conversational without imitating formal calligraphy.
What the reviewed file shows
The local specimen shows a distinctive open capital E, a tall looped lowercase f, long descenders on j and y, and visibly irregular joins. Uppercase letters are independent rather than connected, while lowercase words form a faster rhythm. Those details make the face useful for speech bubbles, informal labels and a short friendly name, but the uneven widths become tiring across a paragraph.
Use the preview with the exact phrase and punctuation you need. This build includes both cases, numerals and common punctuation, but a decorative handwritten face should not carry instructions, prices or accessibility-critical copy. Set the personality line in Easy Speech and pair it with a neutral sans serif for everything that must be scanned quickly.

License and source record
The author’s embedded terms say this first release is freeware for personal and commercial use, but they also prohibit modifying the font files, require the readme to stay with the font, and require the original archive to remain unaltered when it is shared. The public author note on DaFont confirms the first version is free for personal and commercial use and points to a later expanded commercial edition.
The binary identity, version, glyph count and full terms were read directly from the local OTF. The external author note was used only to confirm the release context; it does not erase the archive and readme conditions embedded in the file.
Practical preview checks
Try a mixed-case greeting, a line with repeated letters, and a sentence containing j, f, y and punctuation. Check the long descenders against the line below. If words collide, increase line height rather than compressing the font.

Questions about Easy Speech
Is this the current Easy Speech release?
No. The inspected local file identifies itself as version 1.000 from the 2012 initial release. The author’s public note mentions a later expanded edition.
Why is the download blocked?
The local endpoint has only the OTF, while the embedded terms require the readme to accompany the font and the original archive to remain unaltered when shared.
What is Easy Speech best for?
Short, informal lines such as labels, cards, classroom graphics and speech-bubble text. Use a simpler companion for paragraphs and interface copy.
