American Captain Font

About American Captain Font

The American Captain font is a bold, vintage-style font created by designer Michael G. Adkins in 2010. The font was modified and published in 2011 under the copyright ownership of The Fontry. It’s a font inspired by Captain America: The First Avenger’s title logo.

The typeface is narrow and bold, sharp and blunt, heavy and tall. But what makes it unique are its origins. Dating back to at least the 1940s, it has been revived and revamped by sign painters, hand-letterers, and font designers.

This font symbolizes the strength of an American patriot who saved the world from tyranny. His unyielding determination and fighting spirit are captured in this font, dedicated to the Captain America knows and respects. Enjoy the power of the American Captain font!

The free version of this American Captain font is now available in uppercase Greek and Cyrillic letters. For commercial users, it is also available as a 5-font family with full language support for Central European characters, Cyrillic, Greek, and Hebrew. OpenType features include small caps, fractions, stylistic sets, and more.
