Today we’re going to talk about a logo font called Sesame Street Font. It comes from the famous show of the same name. The show has been an evergreen favorite among children and adults. Joan Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett created it. Sesame Street was first broadcasted on 10th November 1969.

Interstate Bold Compressed is the font which was used in Sesame Street’s logo, designed by NY-based designer Tobias Frere Jones (1993–1999) and published through the Font Bureau type foundry.

It is a sans serif typeface with various styles, numbers, linings, etc. Additionally, the font has 246 glyphs and 1000 units per EM with horizontal and no kerning.

The only natural substitute for the Sesame Street logo font is the Circe font from the Paratype foundry. This font was designed by Russian type designers Alexander Lubovenko, Maria Kharlamova, and Alexandra Korolkova.
