Short answer: Korataki is a close visual match for the wide, square Outer Banks wordmark on the 2020 Pogues Theme single artwork shown here, but no Netflix source reviewed for this guide credits it as the series font. The Korataki.otf preview file identifies itself as Bold, not Regular.

Artwork and campaign scope

This comparison is limited to the “OUTER BANKS / POGUES THEME / MUSIC BY FIL EISLER” image above. The 2020 single release identifies that campaign, while the official Netflix series page shows the wider, multi-season property. Neither source publishes a font credit. Season title cards, soundtrack covers, trailers, and merchandise may use different treatments.

Korataki comparison

Typodermic describes Korataki as a wide, square industrial sans with seven weights plus italics. Its clean corners, extended proportions, and alternate letterforms explain the resemblance. The foundry says Korataki was originally commissioned for BioWare’s Mass Effect series—not for Outer Banks—so the responsible label here is visual match.

Controller as an alternative

The Controller preview file uses the internal family name ControllerExtW01-Five. Its rounded geometric width can support a similar mood, but the R, S, and spacing differ enough that it should not be called a replica or Netflix asset.

Exact-file license status

• Korataki.otf: credits Typodermic and says an attached license agreement controls use. No agreement accompanies the copy reviewed here. Typodermic offers separate desktop and embedding license routes; choose the one that matches your project.
• Controller-Ext.ttf: credits Ryoichi Tsunekawa and says “All rights reserved,” with no embedded license or redistribution grant.

A preview or download button is not a license. Obtain Korataki through Typodermic and Controller through an authorized foundry source; do not republish either raw font file without explicit permission.
