Circular Font

Circular font is a geometric sans serif font family that comes in eight weights. It’s Laurenz Brunner’s first official release following the highly acclaimed and wildly popular LL Akkurat. The font was created by Laurenz Brunner and was released by Lineto.

Circular is a new take in the world of geometric grotte. This type of trend was common during the period prior to wartime Germany as illustrated by Jakob Barbar’s Erbar Grotesk (1926-29), Paul Renner’s Futura (1927-28) Rudolf Koch’s Kabel (1927-29) and Wilhelm Pischner’s Neuzeit Grotesk (1928-29). There were recurrent re-visits in the 1970s by Herb Lubalin’s Avant-Garde and later in the 1980s, with Adrian Frutiger’s Avenir.
