Witcher is a translation of the Slavic term vedmak, which refers to a “man witch.” witcher (plural witchers) a male witch. They are not always witches or wizards; they are monster slayers, hence the name “witchers.” Witchers are individuals who possess magic, indeed, but this magic results from factors such as their education and the potions they drink, which are theoretically deadly to the majority of people.

It’s likely that Jonathan Barnbrook’s 1992 Mason Serif Regular design was the Witcher font used for the Withcher logo.

The Witcher is an action role-playing game released in 2007 for Microsoft Windows and OS X by CD Projekt Red (Polish: Wiedmin [vjdmjin] (Warlock)). It was based on Polish novelist Andrzej Sapkowski’s fantasy book series The Witcher. Atari released the action role-playing hack and slash video game in 2009. The Wicher 2: Assassins of Kings, the sequel, was published in 2011.

Witcher Font Details

Teweka designed and released THE WITCHER, a stylish and energetic serif typeface. You may use The Witcher, a sophisticated serif font, to create a variety of chic and contemporary characters.

You’ll need Opentype-capable software like Word, Textedit, Photoshop, Sketch, Pages, Keynote, Numbers, iBooks Author, QuarkXPress, Indesign, and Illustrator to access this OpenType feature.

A beautiful script font that has been skillfully created to become a great favorite is called Witcher Handwriting. It still has a swanky calligraphic sense about it, but feels modern and new. Get smitten by it and elevate your projects to the next level!

Common Uses

It draws inspiration from the game’s witches and offers a variety of possibilities that you may use for any of your creative projects, including as branding, cards, logotypes, and more. There is no commercial use permitted and this typeface is free for personal use only!

For instance, the Witcher typeface is ideal for Halloween-related activities. With this typeface, one can make an eye-catching design that they can display to their friends and coworkers to frighten them away. This typeface can be used to create a wide range of designs, including those for printing on t-shirts, posters, flyers, logos, and more.

The Witcher Font Size Mods

Installing a mod for the fonts is my top recommendation if you’re playing The Witcher in this decade. The first Witcher game’s thin, serif type is nearly physically unpleasant to me because I’m playing on a 2560×1440 monitor and have worse corrective eyewear than your mother.

My personal favorite accomplishes just that, and it’s called Text Size Increase for Higher Resolutions. Although there are a few options, I prefer the “Balanced Text Size” setting because it preserves the aesthetic of the original while making it easier to read everything from quest logs to subtitles to hover effects.

The Witcher 3 UI Font, which is likewise exactly as it sounds, is my second favorite option.

This substitutes the readable sans-serif font from Witcher 3 for the original Witcher’s font. I’ll be honest: It does make some interface elements feel a little bit like memes, but it’s probably a better option for anyone who actually needs better legibility.

Mason Serif Regular is the font style most frequently used in publications and packaging for The Witcher. It can be found in the fansite kit.

There are two varieties of The Witcher Fansite Kit:

1.  Font mini-map

2.  Morpheus font

Mason Typeface in Use

The Prince of Mist, The Quantum Enigma, Bionic, The Golden Compass, To Sin with a Viking, Dorian Gray, Creed, Wild Goose Chase, Planescape: Torment, Loyal to the Game, The Quantum Enigma, The Witcher, and many other logos, movie posters, album covers, etc. all feature the Mason typeface in addition to The Witcher.
