I Love NY Font
The I Love NY font comes from the famous I Love New York (I ❤ NY) globally recognized marketing campaign. The logo was created in 1977 by Milton Glaser, a legendary American graphic designer. Its purpose was to boost tourism and morale in New York State during a period of severe economic crisis, urban decay, and rising crime in New York City.
Similar and Alternative fonts
Milton Glaser hand-drew the “I ❤ NY” logo in 1977: the “I” and “NY” are custom, slightly uneven slab-serif letters, and the red heart “❤” replaces the word “love.” Beneath it, “New York” is set in a slim, compressed sans-serif similar to American Typewriter. Since every character was sketched from scratch, no official font was ever released.
The logo is trademarked by New York State. For commercial projects, use licensed versions or create original artwork inspired by it.
